Blog: Netitude’s live Frome Flood Watch Camera

The winters of 2013 and 2014 were especially bad for heavy rainfall and storms in the Somerset area, and the Wallbridge area of Frome suffered many floods. This caused chaos on the major road out of Frome.

The Wallbridge area in particular has suffered on a number of occasions from flooding and only last February 2014 there was major disruption as heavy rainfall caused severe flooding.  Frome’s amateur meteorologist Michael Cooper recorded 33mm of rainfall on one day and just since the start of 2014 he had measured 71mm.
