Microsoft Teams Telephony FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Have Question? We are here to help

Is this webinar really free?

Yes — completely free to attend. There's no catch and no obligation. We want to give UK businesses the information they need to make a confident decision about their communications setup.

Who is the webinar for?

This session is designed for business owners, operations managers and IT decision-makers at UK SMEs who are currently using a traditional phone system or considering upgrading their communications. You don't need any technical knowledge — we'll keep everything practical and jargon-free.

Do I need to already be using Microsoft Teams?

An active Microsoft Teams license is useful, but it's not essential. If your business uses Microsoft 365 in any capacity, you're likely already partway there. We'll explain everything from the ground up so you can follow along no matter where you're starting from.

How long is the session?

30 minutes — including a live Q&A at the end. We've kept it short deliberately so it fits into a busy working day without eating into your schedule.

Will I be able to ask questions?

Yes — we'll have a live Q&A at the end of the session where you can put your questions directly to Michael and Matt. You can also submit questions in advance when you register.

Will the session be recorded?

Yes. If you register but can't make it on the day, we'll send you a link to the recording afterwards so you don't miss out.

What's the difference between Teams Phone & Operator Connect?

Great question — and one we'll cover in detail during the webinar. In short, Teams Phone is Microsoft's calling system built into Teams, and Operator Connect is the method that connects your existing phone numbers and lines to it through a certified carrier like Gamma. We'll walk through exactly how they work together in practice.

How do I join on the day?

Once you register you'll receive a confirmation email containing your personal join link. On the day, simply click the link and you'll be taken straight into the Microsoft Teams session. No downloads are required if you use the web version.

Is Teams Telephony suitable for my size of business?

Teams Telephony works well for businesses of all sizes, but it's particularly well-suited to SMEs with between 10 and 250 users who want to reduce their communications costs and consolidate onto a single platform. If you're unsure whether it's right for you, the webinar will help you make that call — no pun intended.

What do I need to do after the webinar if I want to explore further?

Nothing pressured — but if you'd like to discuss your specific setup after the session, our team is happy to arrange a no-obligation conversation. Details will be shared at the end of the webinar.
