At Netitude, every accreditation we pursue is a deliberate choice — not a box-ticking exercise, but a genuine investment in the quality of service we can provide to our clients.

Achieving IASME Cyber Advisor status is one of the milestones I'm most proud to have been part of communicating, because it represents something our team has worked hard to earn.

In this post, we're sharing why the IASME Cyber Advisor scheme matters for UK businesses, and — most importantly — what it means for the organisations that trust Netitude to keep them secure.

We're proud to announce that Netitude is now an official IASME Cyber Advisor and Assured Service Provider — a significant milestone that strengthens the cybersecurity guidance and support we can offer our clients.

This latest accreditation builds on an already strong foundation of certifications, including Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, and ISO 9001. But achieving Cyber Advisor status isn't just another badge on the wall — it represents formal recognition of our expertise, processes, and commitment to helping the businesses we work with stay genuinely secure.

What is the IASME Cyber Advisor Scheme?

The IASME Cyber Advisor scheme is a UK government-backed programme, delivered in association with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It identifies and certifies IT professionals and organisations that have the knowledge and expertise to provide trusted guidance on the Cyber Essentials scheme to small and medium-sized businesses.

To become a qualified Cyber Advisor, organisations must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Cyber Essentials framework, its technical requirements, and how to support businesses of varying sizes and sectors in achieving and maintaining certification.

As an Assured Service Provider, Netitude has also met the additional requirements that demonstrate we are equipped to provide a complete, high-quality advisory service — not just point businesses in the right direction, but actively guide them through the process from start to finish.

What Does This Mean for Our Clients?

In short, it means you have access to a higher level of trusted, accredited cybersecurity guidance than ever before.

Whether you're looking to achieve Cyber Essentials certification for the first time, maintain an existing certification, or simply understand what you should be doing to protect your business from cyber threats, Netitude is now formally qualified to guide you through every step.

Specifically, as a qualified Cyber Advisor and Assured Service Provider, we can help your organisation:

  • Work towards and maintain Cyber Essentials certification — the UK government-backed standard that demonstrates your business has the fundamental cyber hygiene controls in place
  • Understand your cybersecurity responsibilities — cutting through the jargon to give you clear, practical guidance on what you need to do and why it matters
  • Strengthen your cyber resilience against evolving threats — ensuring that your defences keep pace with the threat landscape, rather than standing still

For businesses in regulated sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and defence — where cybersecurity compliance is increasingly tied to contract eligibility and regulatory requirements — having an accredited Cyber Advisor in your corner has never been more important.

Why Cyber Essentials Matters More Than Ever

Cyber Essentials is the UK's baseline cybersecurity certification scheme, backed by the NCSC. Achieving certification demonstrates that your business has taken the essential steps to protect itself against the most common cyber threats — and for businesses working with the public sector or MOD supply chain, it is increasingly a contractual requirement.

But beyond compliance, Cyber Essentials is genuinely effective. The NCSC estimates that the five technical controls it covers could prevent the vast majority of common cyberattacks. For SMEs that may not have a dedicated in-house IT security team, working with an accredited Cyber Advisor to achieve and maintain certification is one of the most impactful investments a business can make.

A Word From Our Managing Director

"With the UK Cyber Security and Resilience Bill reshaping expectations around operational resilience, SMEs need advisors they can trust. IASME Cyber Advisor status demonstrates we meet verified standards for helping businesses strengthen their security posture in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment."

Building on a Strong Foundation

Achieving Cyber Advisor status is the latest step in Netitude's ongoing investment in accreditation and expertise. Alongside our existing Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, and ISO 9001 certifications, it reflects our belief that the businesses we support deserve a partner that holds itself to the highest standards — not just in the services it delivers, but in the qualifications it maintains.

A huge thank you to everyone on the Netitude team who contributed to achieving this. It takes a genuine commitment across the business to reach this standard, and we're proud of what the team has accomplished.
