Adam Harling, Netitude Managing Director, presented on ‘Online Security Basics’ at the 15 Minute Wonders for Business event, which took place at the Frome Rugby Club on Thursday 27th November 2014.

Based on the Pecha Kucha and TED concepts of keeping presentations concise, fast paced and generating curiosity, SouthWestfd, in association with Frome & District Chamber of Commerce, ICAEW, The Mill Consultancy and Finance Department, have brought together some of the region’s most professional public speakers for an afternoon of 15 minute wonders.  Each speaker presented for 15 minutes on a key business topic, giving attendees a valuable insight into how to improve your business.

With more and more businesses turning to the cloud for many day to day applications, security is a big concern. When data and applications are moved to the cloud, they become more vulnerable to potential security threats. This is because cloud environments involve the sharing of resources, such as servers and storage, among multiple users and organisations. Therefore, it becomes crucial for businesses to address these security concerns to safeguard their sensitive data and maintain customer trust.

Adam Harling’s presentation covered the basics from encryption tools, threats such as phishing scams and how to protect your data.
